Beth started at the practice in 2013 as an apprentice nursing assistant and has worked her way to Head Nurse.
She has a keen interest in reviewing and improving clinical standards and enjoys supporting the student veterinary nurses to develop their practical skills and knowledge.

Amber Callagan
Student Veterinary Nurse
Amber started working at Yew Tree Veterinary Surgery in 2019 as a receptionist, She became one of our student veterinary nurses at the beginning of 2022.
She has three cats called Timmy, Tiger and Murphy – all of which were rescued as strays. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and one day hopes to live in New Zealand.

Libby Hunt
Student Veterinary Nurse
Libby graduated from the University of Chester in 2018 with a degree in Animal Behaviour. Libby joined the practice as a patient care assistant and became a student Veterinary Nurse in September 2021.
She has two pugs called Kenny and Vinnie, and a rabbit named Dolly. In her spare time she enjoys photographing wildlife.

Erin Ashcroft
Patient Care Assistant
Erin graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2020, achieving a degree in Animal Behaviour. She joined the Yew Tree team early February 2022 as a Patient Care Assistant. She is enjoying her role and is excited to see what the future may bring.
She has three cats called Guinness, Oslo and Apollo the Sphynx.

Gill Carney
Patient Care Assistant
Gill joined the Yew team in 2018. Gill is especially interested in the nursing aspect of the job as she has a passion for caring for sick animals. In the past she has worked at a wildlife and falconry rehabilitation centre and volunteered in Thailand, working with elephants and stray cats and dogs.
She is a self-certified ‘Bonkers Cat Lady’ as she loves all cats. She has a three legged rescue cat called Ralph and a grumpy tortoise called Albert.

Amy started at the practice in 2021 as a Patient Care Assistant and wants to progress and train to be a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future.
She has two rescue cats named Roo and Ren and likes to travel as much as she can when she is not working.
